Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support the IMD’s first ever talent show!
It went extremely well and I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly our stage crew managed to move everything along! So thank you soo much to Oren Rosen and Eric Langlois who took care of stage crew! I’m sooo proud of you two

Next project- banquet!

The Regiment Banquet will be this coming Friday, January 21st and it will be catered by Buca di Beppo! If you haven’t turned your form in yet, make sure you get that done by Tuesday!

 

IMD Talent Show Next Friday!

The WHSIMD is hosting their FIRST EVER Talent Show. This will feature students in the IMD performing skits, singing, and other miscellaneous acts! The show will be on January 14th in the Carpenter Family Theatre at 7 pm. Tickets are $7 at the door and all profits will go towards  an IMC Scholarship for the students in the WHSIMD! So please try your best to come out and support the students who have put so much hard work into this show!

IMD Talent Show

Hey everyone!

I know I haven’t written in a while but it’s time to pick back up with these blog entries

This year the IMD is trying to put on a new fund raising event! The Instrumental Music Department Talent Show! Let me give you a quick overview:

1. This is a service hour opportunity

o       Students that perform in the show receive service hours

o       We have several committees the students can sign up for

-          This sheet is posted in the band room

2. Students can perform any school appropriate act (It does not have to be music related).

3. They are allowed to perform with non IMD students as long as one of the students is in either band or orchestra.

4. Auditions will be held on December 14, 2010 in the band room, and a sign up sheet will be posted tomorrow!

Encourage your students to audition! All profits from this event go towards an IMC Scholarship

A Recent/ Future Overview of IMC Events:

We voted on Restaurant choices for the monthly fundraisers! We’re going to try switching it up every month so you guys don’t get bored!

We have our ensemble reps all picked out!

So if you have and problem in your ensemble- feel free to go talk to the ensemble rep for your class!

Also! Students need to be getting their fairshare in as soon as possible please!

We put together an IMD Fundraising Committee of students. On that we have:

Our first fundraiser of the year is the POPCORN FUNDRAISER! Yayyy!

We have prizes for individuals as well as a pizza party for any class with 100% participation in the Popcorn Sales! So sell some popcorn!!

We have our first actual fundraising event on September 25th. We will be selling popcorn and emergency kits outside of Albertsons, Gelsons, and the Do-It Center. Sign up and get your service hours done!

Sign ups will be posted on Monday the 20th.

Students! Look forward to another IMD Fun Day coming up in mid October! We’ll have food, games and plenty to do, so get excited!

Hey guys!

My name is Anabiah Syed and I’m this year’s IMC President. We have so many plans for this year and I know I have the help of all of you to help the IMC carry them out. We want to focus a lot on new fundraising events and also just taking what fundraisers we have had in previous years and getting the most we can out of those!

So this is where I’ll be posting IMC related stuff 

I’ll be posting what we discussed in IMC meetings and other information to keep everyone updated on the IMC happenings!
